Language, movement and healthy food

Imagine this: You set out on a new life full of hope—but without the words to connect, healthy food to fuel you, or a place to move together.
Tough, right?

At Sheltersuit Foundation, we help people truly participate. Our one-year empowerment program offers language lessons, fresh meals, and sports activities. This way, people grow not just in vocabulary, but also in health and self-confidence.

The impact of language

In our lessons, participants take practical steps: filling out forms, understanding safety instructions, asking colleagues for help.

Every new sentence makes their workplace safer and their day more efficient.
With better Dutch, their confidence grows—and mistakes are prevented.

Getting active together

During sports sessions, participants play ping pong, football, basketball, or hit a shuttle on the badminton court.

Each game improves coordination, stamina, and a sense of teamwork.
More movement means less stress, better focus, and a healthier body.

Healthy eating

Each week, Sheltersuit provides a varied and nutritious lunch.
This shared meal gives participants extra energy, strengthens their immune system, and helps them stay focused during lessons and work.

Just one nourishing moment can make a noticeable difference for the rest of the week.

It’s beautiful to see how someone can improve their life in such a way that they grow and feel free. Communication plays a key role in that.

Your support makes a difference

With your help, we’ll give 20 participants the chance to learn Dutch, enjoy healthy meals each week, and stay active through sports.

This way, they grow in confidence, improve their health, and build a stronger future.

Every donation—whether it’s five euros or five hundred—brings us closer to that goal.

Give what feels right to you. Every euro makes a difference.
