Will you become our new Financial Controller ?
(Enschede, 20-24 uur)
Across Europe alone, more than one million people do not have a warm or safe place to sleep. Sheltersuit Foundation works together with aid organizations worldwide to distribute Sheltersuits and Shelterbags to people experiencing homelessness, refugees, and victims of disasters providing protection against cold, wind, and rain.
In our social workshop (Sheltersuit Factory BV) in Enschede, people with a distance to the labor market craft our products by hand. Our Sheltersuits and Shelterbags are largely made from upcycled materials. In addition, we develop a separate consumer line, including bags, jackets, and other items made from reused materials and produced in our social workshop.
There are also Sheltersuit initiatives in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and the United States, enabling us to create impact there as well. Our work is made possible through donations, funds, and collaborations with other NGOs.
Are you an experienced financial professional looking for work with social impact? Then read on, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Financial Controller who wants to help us create even greater impact. Sheltersuit is growing, and that requires strong and healthy financial management. As Controller, you provide strategic advice, bring structure and clear financial insight, and contribute to the continued growth of the organization. You will be an important sparring partner for Youp, our director, and the board, providing input for strategic decision-making.
In concrete terms, you will:
- Ensure that financial processes run optimally;
- Oversee financial operations (the day-to-day administration is handled by another colleague);
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports;
- Develop the annual budget and cash flow planning;
- Further develop and implement internal control and risk management;
- Prepare the consolidated annual accounts in collaboration with the external auditor;
- Process various income streams (subsidies, donations, etc.) and contribute to reporting;
- Be responsible for ICT and the further digitalization of financial processes.
At Sheltersuit, as a Controller you don't just make the numbers add up, you make the social impact measurable and scalable.
