At Sheltersuit, we create products that provide protection to people who are homeless, displaced, or affected by a disaster. From our workshop in Enschede, we produce Sheltersuits and Shelterbags that are used worldwide by aid organizations and governments.
Due to the growth of our organization, we are looking for two new Production Tailors who want to join us in building a world where everyone has the right to protection and dignity.

The Sheltersuit Foundation was founded in 2014 by fashion designer Bas Timmer. What began as an innovative design grew into an international organization with operations in Europe, North America, and South Africa.
In our social workshop, people from different countries and cultures work together. Some have years of experience in the textile industry, while others are building a new future here. What unites everyone is the desire to create something that matters.
Every Sheltersuit that leaves our workshop can mean the difference between a cold night outdoors and protection from the elements.

What will you be doing?
As a Garment Production Worker, you’ll help produce our Sheltersuits and other textile products. You’ll work with various industrial sewing machines and tools and ensure that every product meets our quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
Sewing and assembling parts of Sheltersuits;
Working with various industrial sewing machines;
Attaching zippers, fasteners, and other components;
Checking the quality of products;
Carrying out assignments for external projects;
Troubleshooting minor machine malfunctions;
Keeping your workspace clean and safe.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who take pride in their work and want to be part of a dedicated team.
You have experience in ready-to-wear clothing, sewing, or textile production;
You can operate an industrial sewing machine;
You work with precision and have an eye for quality;
You have a hands-on approach and enjoy getting things done;
You enjoy working with colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds;
You speak Dutch, English, or another language. That’s not a problem for us.
Do you have extensive experience in the textile industry but no Dutch degree? If so, we strongly encourage you to apply.
