Leveraging Maersk's logistic and transportation expertise we are able to distribute effectively and efficiently. Working closely with local distribution partners, we ensure the best possible outcomes for distribution in a new territory.
With this sustainable partnership, we are ultimately seeking to establish local production to create jobs and opportunities in Latin America.
A.P. Moller – Maersk, the world’s biggest shipping company, donated 990 Sheltersuits and Shelterbags to be distributed in 5 countries in Latin America.
As the global leader in shipping services, the company operates in 130 countries where it services more than 100.000 businesses and employs about 105,000 people.
Maersk´s purpose states: Improving life for all by integrating the world. Taking active responsibility to support the societies where they operate, is grounded in Maersk’s core values.
With this unique collaboration, we are able to improve the lives of those in need by bringing a solution that was developed in Europe to communities in Latin America.
Maersk supported Sheltersuit by providing transportation on board their vessels from our production sites in South Africa and the Netherlands to Panama. From there, the 990 items were distributed to 5 countries in Latin America: Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, and Honduras.
Maersk volunteers throughout these countries worked together in a collaborative effort to coordinate the shipments and ensure these items reached the hands of those in need.
